What is EFAW?

​

The EFAW course provides essential training for first aiders to respond effectively to emergencies in the workplace. It meets Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements and is suitable for those needing initial certification or refresher training. This level 3 qualification is recognized for its comprehensive coverage of first aid skills suitable for low-hazard workplaces like offices and shops.

Course Content:

• Responding to an unresponsive person (breathing and not breathing)

• Using an automated external defibrillator (AED)

• Handling seizures, choking, bleeding, shock, burns

• Assessing and monitoring a casualty

• Managing electrical incidents and COSHH

• Accident recording and reporting
